Problem

Why aren't reviews coming in?

It's not your service — it's the lack of a system to capture the moment.

QR codes don't get filled out

Customers say they'll do it later, then never do.

By tomorrow, the warmth is gone

The strongest feeling is right after the experience.

Google reviews don't grow on their own

Without a nudge, customers won't write.

Built for fairness

“Show only the good ones”
isn't a feature here.

To structurally avoid misleading-rating risks (under Japan's Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations and comparable consumer-protection laws abroad), Koe is designed with four guardrails from day one.

AggregateRating from verifiable sources only

The JSON-LD AggregateRating is calculated only from email-verified form submissions (deduplicated by email), anonymous form submissions, and bulk imports from Google Maps / App Store / Google Play. Reviews submitted with an unverified email, manual entries, and individual X (Twitter) URL imports remain visible in the widget but never count toward AggregateRating (impersonation / self-serving prevention, in line with Google's Rich Results policy).

Hiding requires a reason + audit trail

Whenever a review is unpublished, the operator must record a reason (duplicate / spam / privacy / editing / other). Every state change is written to an audit log.

Reviewers can manage their own reviews

Each reviewer receives a private link to view their submission's publication status and to request withdrawal at any time.

Deletes don't change the rating

Deleting a review doesn't drop it from the AggregateRating denominator (soft delete). The widget also displays the full ★1–★5 distribution alongside featured reviews, so cherry-picking by deleting low ratings is visually and numerically impossible.

FAQ

Frequently asked

What's included in the Free plan?

The Free plan includes 1 collection form, 1 embeddable widget, and up to 50 testimonials. All core collect / manage / embed features are available.

Do I need a credit card to try Koe?

No. The Free plan doesn't require a card. If you upgrade later, payment is handled securely via Stripe.

Is there a trial period?

The Free plan itself works as an ongoing trial. It's limited, but you can try the core flow before deciding to upgrade.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You can cancel whenever you want. Paid features remain until the end of the current billing period, then your account moves to Free automatically.

Where can I embed the widget?

Any site that supports HTML. Paste a single <script> tag — works on WordPress, Wix, Shopify, Webflow, Squarespace, STUDIO, and static sites.

Can I customize the widget appearance?

Yes. Pick from Carousel, Grid, Masonry, or Single-card layouts. Background color, text color, border radius, and shadow are configurable.

Can I import existing Google Reviews?

Yes. Pro and Business include a complimentary one-time bulk import of your Google Business reviews. Email koe@arere.jp with your Google Maps URL and we'll complete the import within 2–3 business days.

How do automatic review imports work?

On Business plan, register your Google Place ID or X hashtag/mention. Koe collects reviews and tweets automatically and imports them as testimonials.

Can I import App Store and Google Play reviews?

Yes. Pro and above include manual import. Business runs weekly auto-checks and imports new reviews automatically.

Can I export my data?

Yes. All testimonial data is exportable as CSV. Your data is always yours — download it any time.

Are you compliant with stealth-marketing regulations?

Yes. Koe is structurally designed to comply with Japan's stealth-marketing regulation (effective October 2023) and the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations. Soft-deleted reviews stay in the AggregateRating denominator, reviewers retain a withdrawal right, every state change is audit-logged, and AggregateRating only counts verifiable sources. See Terms Article 12 for details.

Is email verification mandatory for reviewers?

Email input is optional, but only verified emails count toward the AggregateRating (the star rating shown in Google search results). Unverified reviews still display in the widget. This guards against self-serving fake reviews.

Is registering a Google Place ID complicated?

No — just type your store name and we'll fetch it automatically (coming soon). Until then, paste the URL of your Google Maps listing and Koe will extract the ID. Manual entry is also supported.
